Robert Ray
With a journey spanning over 30 years in the art of Jiujitsu, my path unfolded under the guidance of legends like Rickson Gracie and Francisco Bueno. For six transformative years, I immersed myself in the unique ethos of Japan's Shooto school known as Rodeo Style, further shaping my passion for Jiujitsu. Brief yet impactful stints with Alexandre Ribeiro and Dean Lister added layers to my journey. With over 20 years of teaching, I bring a deep understanding of this art, cultivated through personal practice and the shared knowledge gained on the mats. Keeping my skills up to date, I stay attuned to the latest technology and advancements in the sport. Living in Japan for six years, I embraced the martial spirit of the Land of the Rising Sun. Beyond the mats, my eight-year naval service, including three years molding Navy SEALs and Marines, mirrors a life fueled by discipline and resilience—a fusion of mastery, service, and a profound connection to both Jiujitsu and Japan.
